Formal Concession Services

The Concession Bureau.

"You were right. We put it in writing."

The Concession Bureau drafts and delivers formal concessions on your behalf. You were wrong about something. Or you weren't wrong, but continuing to argue is costing more than conceding. Or you were right, but being right isn't helping. We handle the concession professionally, in writing, with appropriate gravity.

This is the only service in the dispute-resolution space where someone actually admits the other person was right. We consider this quietly radical.

Services

Standard Concession

You were wrong. This concession acknowledges it specifically, clearly, and without hedging. The other party receives a formal letter stating that you have conceded the point and that they were correct. This is the most direct service we offer.

Strategic Concession

You may not have been wrong, but conceding this point serves a larger objective. The Strategic Concession gives ground gracefully on a specific issue while preserving your broader position. It is not dishonest. It is diplomatic.

Partial Concession

You concede the specific point while preserving your position on the broader matter. Useful when the other party is right about one thing but extrapolating too far. The Partial Concession acknowledges what they got right and draws a clear line around what they didn't.

Retroactive Concession

For arguments that ended years ago with no resolution. The retroactive concession arrives unprompted by mail, formally closes the argument, and acknowledges that the other party was right. Several clients have described the response as 'not what I expected but exactly what I needed.'

Pairs with: Moot Point (declares disputes resolved without a winner) and Official Registry of Grudges (files complaints without resolution). The Concession Bureau is the third path — someone actually concedes.
